Prospera is a software company that develops innovative solutions for the financial advisory industry.
After conducting an organisation and management review of the business, EZ Consulting was engaged by the directors of Prospera to complete an overhaul of the business and turn its fortunes around.
The role involved:
- Development of a business plan aimed at stabilising the business and enabling it to trade back to profitability (including cutting expenses, moving to online subscription billing and increasing software subscription prices)
- Replacing executive management and bedding in a more effective, streamlined executive
- Securing emergency working capital funding against the revised business plan to facilitate the business turnaround
- Taking control of cash flow management and projections using a proprietary tracking and forecasting tool
- Revamping the company’s marketing messaging including a new website, new marketing collateral and process for engaging with potential customers
EZ Consulting managed the business to profitability over a twelve-month period (including returning working capital to investors in under six months), the first time it had traded profitably in its eight-year existence. With stable financials, a clearer marketing message, a more rigorous sales and marketing approach and a well-documented software functionality enhancement plan, the business was positioned for its next phase of growth.
