Prior to establishing EZ Consulting, Ellis was a founding shareholder and Director of Operations at Proximity Pty Ltd.  Proximity was an innovative software development company that developed solutions for television broadcasters and post-production houses for the management and transcoding of images and video.  The business was acquired by Apple Computers in 2006 and its software incorporated into Apple’s professional suite of applications.

The business sale was a complex transaction as Proximity had operations in Australia and the US as well as subsidiary companies and long-term support contracts with its clients.  Ellis was intimately involved in all aspects of the business sale negotiation and the successful exit for Proximity’s shareholders.
